Access to GP Online Services

Wherever possible, please use our online options to access our services.  Doing so will assist us by keeping our phone lines free for those who need urgent medical help or cannot access online sources of information. 

GP online services are designed to give you, the patient more choice and flexibility in how and when you contact and interact with us.  They can also give you direct access to your medical records and test results, which was previously only possible by phoning or visiting the surgery.

Your SystmOnline account allows you to:

  • Book GP consultations
  • Cancel booked appointments
  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • Submit custom prescription requests
  • Access your medical record to see all the events
  • View and download test results
  • View your medications
  • View and download letters to and from your GP
  • View and change your contact details
  • Change the local pharmacy through which you receive prescriptions.

Please note that we don't accept messages to the Practice via SystmOnline, the Airmid app or NHS Apps.

Book a routine GP appointment using SystmOnline

We offer the ability for patients to book appointments online, which means you can book an appointment 24/7 without having to phone the surgery.  

Patients who have registered to use the SystmOnline Patient Access system can book routine GP appointments online using their SystmOnline login, which is the same login details as the online repeat prescription requests.

Order your prescriptions online

The fastest and most efficient way to order your repeat medication is by requesting this online.  You can order your repeat prescriptions online through SystmOnline, or using the NHS app or Airmid App.  Click on the image below or follow this link to access SystmOnline>>

Don't have a SystmOnline account?

If you have not already done so and want to sign up to access online services,  please speak with our Reception team who will check your ID and provide log in details. 

Try the NHS App

Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. These include:

  • Order a repeat prescription through your nominated pharmacy
  • Check your symptoms
  • Access eConsult for healthcare advice 
  • View existing and book future appointments
  • View your GP medical record, including test results
  • Find NHS information on hundreds of conditions
  • Use NHS 111 for urgent help online
  • Manage decisions around organ, tissue and blood donations.

A range of digital tools is available alongside the NHS App, giving people an important choice in how they access GP services online.

eConsult - our Online Service

Our online eConsult portal is not suitable for emergency medical problems but can be used for simple routine medical queries, administrative issues or to update your GP about your medical condition. 

If you know you need to speak with or see a healtcare professional about a medical concern, please visit our Appointment page to view your options on how to contact us. 

Please only use eConsult for:

  • sick certification once you have self-certified for 7 days
  • submitting blood pressures, weights and other measurements your GP has asked for
  • contraception and HRT medication reviews
  • simple medication reviews
  • routine medical queries about a non-urgent condition when you do not think you need to speak to the GP
  • some minor ailments such as urinary infection, that are best dealt with promptly but can be addressed by a few directed questions
  • to update your GP about an ongoing issue
  • for information about blood test results
  • general administrative requests.

Please note this service is not available to anyone under the age of 16. 

Our eConsult service is currently available from 7.30am Monday to Friday but will have a maximum limit applied. 

However, the ability to browse for self-help advice and access the NHS 111 service is available through eConsult 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Local Digital Champions Anne, Colin and Julie are friendly and patient volunteers who are good at explaining computers, without using jargon. We have an enthusiasm for all things digital and look forward to the chance to show you how it works.
 
If you bring along your device and questions, they will help.
 
If you don't already have a mobile device or computer, they can offer advice on how easy it can be to join the digital community.

Tuesday afternoons from 2 pm

Thursday mornings from 10 am or

Friday afternoons from 1 pm
